Effect of Starch on the Properties of Activated Alumina

Under the condition of material m (CA) / m (AL) = 10%, the effect of starch content on the main properties of activated alumina was investigated. Table 3 shows the pore structure properties of activated alumina samples with different starch contents.


It can be seen that as the starch content increases, the specific surface area and pore volume of the sample gradually increase, which shows that the main function of starch is to increase the pore gap.



The above results show that citric acid and starch have different pore-forming effects, and their mechanism needs further study.
